That was my response when I was introduced to white eyeliners a couple of years ago. I was thinking to myself why would anyone want to use a white eyeliner on their lower waterline. Like is that really a thing?? I find it hard to believe that I ever thought that way, because I’m such a lover of this trend now. Now that I have evolved in my art and personal understanding of makeup, I’ll tell you why I’m now team white eyeliner!
- It opens up your eyes – For those who have smaller eyes, sleepy, hooded or tired looking eyes, a very quick way of awakening your eyes is to apply a white liner onto your lower waterline all the way to the inner V-corner of your eyes. The effect is unbelievable just like in the stunning makeup by Colordujor
- It gives an illusion of bigger eyes – This is a simple trick that I have tried myself a couple of times. When I work with small or closed eyes or when the eyelid area is small or narrow, I use the white liner on the lower waterline to even it out
- It’s a perfect no-makeup look – So if you don’t want to wear any makeup but still want to look bright and energised, this is the way to go. With a white liner you can pull this off without anyone having to know you are wearing makeup.
- It accentuates your lowers lashes – If you have thin lower lashes and you’d like an illusion of a longer length then you should try this. First apply the liner to the lower waterline then use a black or brown mascara on your lower lashes. It instantly gives the appearance of longer and fuller lashes.
Almost anyone can use white liner but if you want to switch things up abit you can try some of my recommendations. I usually try to match the skin tone with the colour that works best for each person.
Deeper skin tones – White or (non shimmer) Silver eyeliner
Olive skin tones – Light Pink
Pale Skin tones – Light pink or white eyeliner
Hope you picked a thing or two?
Until next time!
